You can add your Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo or any other email account into Osmos Cloud by using IMAP and SMTP. Once you have added your email to Osmos, you will be able to send and receive emails from your clients and prospects. 


Osmos will keep the email history between you and your leads or customers. You can also tell if your email was read by the client.



To add your email account follow the next steps:


STEP 1: Go to "Welcome" menu located on the right corner of your screen



STEP 2: Click on "Update Profile / IMAP" option



STEP 3: Go to the "Email Settings" section and click on "Configure"




STEP 4: Select the email account type you want to add to Osmos (Outlook, Hotmail, Gmail, other, etc) and complete the required fields.



TIP: Sometimes you'll need to configure your email from Gmail or Hotmail in order to give permission to Osmos to access the account via IMAP. 



STEP 5: Click on Save. If the account information is correct a message will confirm the success. If it is NOT correct the IMAP or SMTP will appear in red. 



IMPORTANT!! If you send or respond emails directly from your email and you want to keep a record on Osmos, in some cases you'll need to BCC you own email. This is the case for Gmail. For emails that keep a copy of send email on the server this won't be necessary. 


If you use an email with a domain name, it's almost certain that you have the option to set on the email server the option  "Save emails sent in folder or server". When this option is selected there is no need to BCC.
